A great opportunity for an experienced purchasing manager to join a successful and established manufacturing company on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will report directly to the commercial director and manage a buyer reporting directly to you.
You will be responsible for purchasing raw materials and components with a spend of approximately £15 million. As well as the day to day running aspects, you will be required to develop and maintain supplier relationships, monitor KPI’s, conduct supplier evaluations, plan supplier audits and work closely with the production team and plan meetings. Implementing best practices and procedures and contract negotiation is a key part of this role.
What you’ll need to succeed
Experience as a purchasing manager in a manufacturing environment is essential. You will have experience in purchasing raw materials and components and managed spends of £10-15 million. Knowledge of quality standards, ERP Systems, contract negotiation is required as well as implementing best practices and procedures.
What you’ll get in return
The salary on offer is £40,000, with free on-site parking. Working hours are 8am-5pm with flexibility. A possibility of working from home is offered after 6 months.
