A global engineering group supplying the aerospace & defence sectors has a new vacancy for Quality Manager to join one of its expanding UK plants. An experienced Quality professional, candidates must have a good understanding of aerospace standards, good leadership skills and will have worked in a precision machining environment.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
Manage quality function ensuring that customers receive the product to the highest standard of quality possible.
Develop, maintain and improve quality processes and systems
Conduct internal audits
Drive continuous improvement throughout the business
Lead customer audits
Conduct root cause analyses and other quality tools to ensure manufacturing processes meet customer requirements.
Provide technical support to inspection and NDT Processes.
Manage and develop the quality team
Support cost reduction initiatives
Working to with manufacturing teams to prevent non-conformances and implement best practice.
The Person
An experienced senior quality professional you will have strong leadership skills with a good understanding of the aerospace sector and will have worked in a precision machining environment. Lead Auditor trained, you will have an understanding of special processes and NADCAP with an engaging leadership style, a desire to drive continuous improvement and a right first-time ethos.
