1492 are currently assisting an SME business in their search for a new Sales & Marketing Director. Our client designs and manufactures a range of stylish but functional furniture and equipment for the healthcare sector.
Overseeing a team of 12, the role is split Sales 80%/20% Marketing. Your main responsibilities will be to manage the end to end sales process and nurture the sales teams to grow the sales revenue in line with margin objectives. Tendering for framework agreements, you will also explore and develop marketing literature, exhibitions and the company’s website. The key objective is to double the turnover in the next 6 years and assist the growth of the export function within the business.
To be successful in this role you must be an exceptional leader with team development experience. You will have experience of sales strategy and handling KPI’s. Experience of tendering and bidding with winning proposals is a must. A good understanding of marketing communications, branding and lead generations would be ideal, but there is no strategic marketing experience needed. Understanding of selling furniture through multiple channels, (including public sector) into healthcare and clinical settings is imperative.
