A bespoke vehicle OEM approaching a defining point within their history at the launch if their new EV rang are looking for a Senior Programme Manager for UK Powertrain Projects into the new vehicle platform.
The Role
Working closely with the project and engineering team in China on Powertrain projects for the new vehicle platform. Having financial control and reporting of the project from concept to closure. Ensuring BoM structure and content are aligned to product definition. Creating and developing programme timing plans. Assist with the management of APQP and PPAP content. Identifying manufacturing process changes to improve efficiencies and team potential. Control, track and report programme status through the programme life.
Maximising the commercial potential of each customer programme ensuring the business case is strong through the product development process. Management of PMO direct reports.
The Person
Degree or equivalent, you must be able to demonstrate a proven track record within Project Management in a high volume manufacturing environment. Experienced with full vehicle program management.
Able to manage project timing and gateway plans, you must be able to present detailed costing timing plans to agreed deadlines. Line management experience essential. Ideally you will have detailed knowledge of APQP / PPAP process including construction of supporting document.
A natural leader, competent in building a team with a hands on approach. You will have a good general commercial awareness, clearly able to demonstrate negotiation experience and delivery. Good knowledge of vehicle / component design and manufacture.
Excellent presentation skills and ideally Prince2 or APM Practitioner preferred, as is experience of EV or Powertrain projects.
