A high profile leadership role with this blue-chip employer of choice. This position leads the execution of product manufacturing and planning to ensure operational excellence and to support the EMEA supply chain. With line management responsibility for a small team, this role will ensure performance, quality, service and price are achieved through the effective commercialisation of all SKUs. Key areas of delivery in this role will include: embedding clear & effective SOP’s for the creation and maintenance of product data; developing an in-depth understanding of NPD processes and key manufacturing processes with a view to making recommendations for improvements; and developing a succession plan and raising team capability levels.

Duties will pertain to the management of new product deployment to meet defined price, quality, performance and service objectives; manage the process of costing potential new products; lead the communication and effective transition of the new SKU and lead the resolution of manufacturing operational issues, working closely with Quality, R&D, Innovation and Supply Chain colleagues; be accountable for all aspects of the Bill of Materials; the qualification, introduction and technical performance monitoring of suppliers; lead the pre-audit assessment and liaise with Quality to ensure QA aspects are considered; manage the first production run and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring they are delivering OTIF and to plan; and provide leadership, training and coaching to the team.

With significant experience of the above areas and working in a consumer or product based goods industry, your experience will have been developed in one or more of the following functions: Engineering, Supply chain, Purchasing, NPD or Quality. With demonstrate understanding of manufacturing processes, you will have exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Highly numerate and analytical, you will be able to manage multiple priorities effectively employing advanced organizing skills and be adept at securing buy-in across an EMEA-wide stakeholder base. The ability to solve complex problems and an in-depth understanding of business processes especially interactions between functions is required with the ability to lead and motivate people and drive results crucial.
