Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working exclusively with a world-leading UK based manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Plant Engineering Manager for their manufacturing and processing facility based across North-East Lincolnshire.The business is going through a transformation project at present and is looking for hard-working, passionate people who want to be a part of this journey.
Job Description
The Site Engineering Manager will form part of the senior leadership team of this impressive facility and will have full responsibility for all maintenance and reliability activities on site. With 5 direct reports and a wider team of 30+, you will be responsible for ensuring operational reliability and asset performance.Other day to day responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring that the processes, systems, equipment and people are maintained and developed in an efficient and effective way
• Ensuring legal compliance with legislative and business requirements
• Adhering to budget requirements and finding cost effective ways to maintain both mechanical and electrical equipment on site
• Developing high performing teams
• Achieving agreed KPIs
• Instilling a safety-first and customer focussed culture
The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will have a strong engineering background (either mechanical or electrical) and a proven ability in leading and developing teams. You will possess:
• A demonstrable background in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally to degree level
• Experience in leading a multi-discipline team of skilled personnel
• A successful track record in mentoring and developing emerging talent
• An improvement-orientated skill set including techniques such as long-term planning, co-ordination of resource and CAPEX projects
• Strong, passionate and motivational leadership and communication skills with the ability to build a culture of succession
• An innovative and customer focussed approach
