We are currently seeking to recruit a Strategic Manufacturing Manager to join a global organisation based at its facility in Antrim. Our client is a leading provider to the automotive sector and has a global presence with a customer base which includes some of the most recognisable car brands in the world.

Your new role
The Strategic Manufacturing Managers role is a new position to the business which will play a critical role in ensuring that customer products are manufactured & delivered meeting all key objectives including manufacturing quality, agreed timescales etc. In this role, you play a vital role in the NPD operation in which you will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and then manage a range of internal teams to ensure delivery. Reporting directly to the General Manager it will be your responsibility to manage key business projects and therefore you will require strong skills in areas such as NPD, Lean, Six Sigma and customer management. You will be expected to have strong leadership skills with excellent agile project management experience with the ability to cultivate a team to achieve key objectives.

What you’ll need to succeed
To prove a success in securing the Strategic Manufacturing Managers role you should have a Degree in Engineering or technical discipline. A minimum of 3 years project management experience within a comparable sector (Automotive, aerospace etc.) An excellent understanding of Lean & Six Sigma is key as is a strong commercial focus with a proven track record. A key element of this role is being a strong influencer with the ability to ensure the completion of key tasks.
