Your new role
You will be working as the UK Supply Chain Director and will oversee the whole Supply Chain function for the UK business, whilst aligning strategies with the European business. This will include overseeing all DC’s, production and manufacturing sites, 3PL contracts and purchasing functions within the business. You will be required to facilitate and coordinate end-to-end supply chain priorities and optimise resources to ensure supply continuity, increase cost competitiveness and capture opportunities to improve overall business performance. This will include managing the SIOP process, managing the inventory of raw/ finished goods, defining the local purchasing strategy and tracking KPI’s across the business. You will conduct performance review for key members of the supply chain team and will run training sessions to share knowledge across the business.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will have held a senior position within a Supply chain and logistic’s organisation previously. You will have a good understanding of logistics within an FMCG business, including managing an outsourced 3PL contract. You will have a good understanding of production processes and will be highly analytical. Exposure to SAP is required for this position and you must be a clear communicator who can interact effectively with all business functions. Knowledge of lean methodology or six sigma would be advantageous for this position. Given the nature of the organisation, you should be comfortable working across cross cultural and multi-national business environments.
