A large and growing ingredients supplier has an immediate requirement for a Supply Chain Manager, based in Suffolk on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Director, the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years` experience within an FMCG environment and a full understanding of S&OP (sales & operations planning).
The Role of Supply Chain Manager:
Lead, support and give direction to the Supply Chain team and effectively communicate across the business
Work on supply chain implications of capacity, demand changes and business constraints
Own and run the S&OP process, reviewing the sales & operations plan monthly
Chair and own supply chain meetings, and look for cost reductions alongside service improvements
Lead stock policies and strategy proposals and be involved in all capital projects
Manage the supply chain and planning team as well as being a key member in Capex Proposals
The Person:
Excellent organisational ability to facilitate project completion timescales and also ability to manage junior staff
Uphold good team spirit and therefore also uphold high standards for production and technical excellence
Drive continuous change, and be a key member of the senior management team
Liaise effectively with external organisations
Experience as a Supply Chain Manager or Head of Planning in the FMCG sector
Strong S&OP exposure and able to lead the process
