One of the UK`s leading manufacturers of complex electronic systems has a new vacancy for a Supply Chain Manager to join the business. Candidates are sought with experience in procurement and proven track record of developing supply chains and leading negotiations with suppliers.
The Role
You will be tasked with managing the supply chain functions for a leading and expanding manufacturing company. With an emphasis on procurement, you will ensure the business has robust systems in place and will manage supplier performance and development.
Key responsibilities:
Managing the order process through to delivery, identifying and resolving any supply issues
Create new procedures and improvements to ensure compliance
Implementation of global strategies and processes to develop supply chain
Provide procurement data in annual budget strategy process
Managing supplier performance
Conduct risk management reviews and manage mitigation plans
Liaise with design/sales teams to compile new bids and ensure correct tender process with suppliers.
The Candidate
With proven leadership experience gained in a purchasing/supply chain role you must have proven track record of supplier selection, negotiation and performance management. Applications are sought with experience working in manufacturing and overseas supplier management is advantageous but not essential.
