A global manufacturer supplying the aerospace, automotive and energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Supply Chain Manager. With proven supply chain management experience you will have worked in manufacturing, ideally the aerospace or automotive sectors.
The Role
With multisite responsibility you lead the supply chain function from customer orders to raw material. You will design and implement the appropriate controls and systems that manage the loading of that demand to optimise cost and lead-times while maintaining inventory and working capital at a minimum.
You will ensure that the business has a robust master production schedule and through effective loading of our facilities operating cost is minimised. A vital part of the role is to implement lean warehouse and inventory management principles to drive turns, and stock improvements.
A particular emphasis will be on the continuous improvement of purchasing reviews and consolidation and tendering, therefore delivering cost reduction and improving supplier relations. You will introduce and maintain effective supply chain management processes to ensure 100% on time customer delivery.
The Candidate
With proven leadership experience gained in supply chain management you will possess a strong technical background gained within complex manufacturing and be well practised in all aspects of supply chain management (purchasing, materials planning and logistics)
You must have proven background of inventory management, production control, forecast planning and capacity planning.
