Our client is a market-leading global manufacturing of instruments for various industries including water treatment, chemicals, oil and gas, and power.

Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager, with a strong purchasing and planning background, to join a global manufacturing organisation.

You will provide leadership, management and development of the Supply Chain Team; Full operational and budget responsibility for the department; Effective management of all component suppliers to enable stable material flow; Control inventory levels through effective management of materials; Lead Production capacity planning and work closely with the Production Team; And lead internal Sales & Operations Planning.

You will also manage the Shipping and Dispatch Team to ensure finished goods are delivered; Support the Group Sourcing Team to identify and execute cost reduction activities across the Supply Chain; Develop and implement KPIs to drive business improvements across the site; Drive improved quality within the supply chain; Support and facilitate continuous improvement activities; And establish key strategic activity required to develop the team in line with overall business objectives.

Finally, you will develop and implement significant improvements in department wide processes, procedures and systems; Manage, lead, mentor and train staff; Support NPI projects working closely with other departments to ensure successful introduction into Production; and Health and Safety guidelines should be actively adhered to and promoted.

The Successful Applicant
You will have a minimum 10 years experience leading Supply Chain within an operations environment, with demonstrated success (ideally with a Bachelors degree in a related subject, but not essential).

You will have experience supporting Supplier Performance Management and Development; Production Capacity Planning processes; Managing inventory, with continuous improvement in turns; and experienced in MRP/ERP systems.

Finally, you will have experience leading a Sales & Operations Planning process; Lean Six Sigma techniques; and experience with NPI projects.
