Your new role
In this position you will lead the Supply Chain team at one of their largest manufacturing sites in the UK. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will oversee the continued development of S&OP / SiOP at the site, ensuring that current and future demand is matched with the necessary capacity from Suppliers and onsite Manufacturing. The local purchasing function will report into you, to compliment centrally purchased items, but the bias to this position will be S&OP, and leadership of Materials Management and Logistics.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be proven in a similar role at a large site (likely to be site turnover of £60 million or more), and be able to clearly demonstrate measurable improvements to Supply Chain performance that have been delivered through development of all aspects of S&OP. You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to implement process changes that deliver a robust structure, and the framework to deliver On Time In Full, while minimising waste and controlling costs. It is an advantage if you have worked in a multi-site business where you have contributed to the sharing of supply chain best practice, taking and providing initiatives across the group. You will have strong technical skills (across ERP / MRP / Lean and / or Six Sigma etc), and be comfortable in a people management function, leading and further developing your team to maximise their potential and ensure opportunities for progression.
